Games I Can Play

Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

Games I Can Play (“we,” “us”) runs gamesicanplay.com. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and the third parties involved. We've kept it short because the site does little with your data.

The short version

You don't make an account, and we don't ask for your name, email, or any personal details to use the site. The hardware you enter stays on your device and is used only to generate your results.

What we collect

Hardware you enter. When you type your graphics card, processor, and memory, that information is saved in your browser's local storage (on your own device) so we can remember it on your next visit, and is sent to our server briefly to generate your results. We do not store it on our servers and it isn't linked to your identity. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Anonymous usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. It's privacy-focused, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't build a profile of you or collect personal information.

Standard server logs. Our host (Vercel) automatically records basic technical data such as IP address and browser type when pages are served. This is used for security and reliability, not to identify you.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself uses your browser's local storage to remember your hardware and your light/dark theme preference — not tracking cookies. Third-party services described below (advertising) may set their own cookies.

Advertising

We may display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and control personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn about opting out of third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

Some links to game stores (such as GOG, Humble, and Steam) may be affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those stores set their own tracking when you click through and are governed by their own privacy policies. We only ever link to a store's own listing for a game — we never handle your payment or purchase details.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't require accounts. We don't collect names, emails, or payment information from visitors.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete personal data held about you. Because we don't hold personal accounts or profiles, there's little to act on — but you can clear your locally stored hardware any time, and you can contact us with any request.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. We'll change the “last updated” date above when we do.
